I'm considering going with the 8" foam mattress now and removing the Scamp cushions as I plan to keep the rear dinette as a bed instead. Since there's only me in my 13' Scamp (and the dog), I'm thinking of going with the twin size which looks like it will fit with no trimming required. My reasons for doing this are 1) the gaps left will be small, 2) cost is less, and 3) I can maneuver the mattress slightly to help in accessing the rear storage compartments under the seats. My question is, is the 8" foam mattress referenced above flexible enough that I can readily access those compartments, or will this be such an inconvenience that I'd wish I'd stayed with the Scamp seat cushions overlaid with 2-4" memory foam instead? Thanks!
