Does anyone use regular car tires for their Scamp? I understand most modern campers are loaded down behemoths and need the proper tires. Are the side walls of a car tire really too flexible for a lightweight fiberglass camper ? I ask because it appears all trailer tires are now made in China and are usually greater in price compared to the passenger USA made 175 or 155/80/13 you can get at Walmart, Les Scwab ect. for under $40 each. If a person kept their 13' Scamp weight well under 1500 lbs loaded would passenger tires serve safely? Any real experience out there or just typical internet info relay?

car tires ok for lightweight 13'?
I'm sure someone does, but the answer is No. Sidewall construction is quite different on trailer tires and blowout potential soars with car tires on even a 13. Dangerous practice.
