Canoe Carrier Modification

Just bought a 13' Scamp yesterday.  Looking to see if anyone has tried hauling a canoe on top or did any modifications to allow for this.  The vents are there so I would imaging a rack of some sort would need to be made or purchased.  Any thoughts?

I am pumped to go Scamping this weekend for the first time!

Canoe rack

A few have built racks for their trailer but a Scamp roof is at least 7 ft. off the ground, it can be a PITA to load and unload. Most carry their canoes on their tow vehicle. If carried on your camper and If want to explore or the areas waterways you have to break camp to move your canoe. If you camp on a lake and say on that lake you won't have an issue with trailer transport. Anyway they make racks for vehicles, you would have to fabricate a rack for your camper.  A lot of people use Kayaks with Scamps, they are much easier to deal with while on the road. One other issue is, you raise the CG which could induce sway. BTW, Scamps that have roof A/C's have extra support built in the roof.
