Berliners when installing hitch for scamp fifth wheel.

I am picking up a new scamp 19' fifth wheel at the factory in a couple of weeks. We have a Toyota Tacoma SR v6 4 wd that came with a composite bed liner.  scamp has told us we must remove it so the hitch can be installed properly.  The bed liner ca then be reinstalled with some modificationss by cutting the composite to fit the new hitch.  Any tips or suggestions on this process?  I have a shop in Brainerd that can and will do this.  Sound feasible?  Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated as we are newbies.  Looking forward to our travel.

I have had no problems in towing this way 50k miles over five years. Other people have mounted two long steel plates in the bed, mounted by the bed mounting screws, three on the left, three on the right and then attached the Reese rails to those. The thread shown above has many ideas on this subject.
