Anyone have experience with one of these with a Scamp? (They isolate the trailer battery system from the TV system so you don't drain the TV battery).

Battery Isolation??
Check your Tow Vehicle, mine only provides power to the Trailer if the ignition is in the on position, consequently, the trailer is automatically disconnected from the TV. You can verify this with a volt meter by testing the "trailer power" pin on your Tow Vehicle.
As Always,
Happy Scamping !!!
I did install a relay, but the cheapest way to go is to unplug the trailer when parked. Also, turn off the 12V refrigerator switch at rest stops since the 10 amp draw is substantial. The 12V refrigerator power is an "always on" setting so I turn it on/off at alternate rest stops to give the trailer battery a better chance to recharge when travelling. It stays plenty cold.

Good read for sure. I sure appreciate the tips I read here, learning all I can. We are to be a scamp family next year, just the two of us, as always has been! 2015 looks to be a great year with lots of travel.
