Scamp comes std. with a size 24 battery. The larger optional battery is a size 27. If your battery box will hold a 27 I would go with that size. It cost a little more but has more capacity. Might be worthwhile buying a larger battery box for the size 27 if you have a small battery box.
The higher the amp hour rating the better. Cranking amps are not a decent judge of battery performance for a trailer. Most department type stores only carry hybrid deep cycle/starting batteries They are good enough for most of our purposes, just watch the Amp Hour Rating, the higher the better.
Also need to know the Group, usually either 24 or 27. They are interchangeable functionally, but your battery box may not hold a Group 27, they are physically larger.
