Hi Deb I love your kitchen.  Are your cabinet door hinges screwed into the frame.  Is your framing fiberglass?

cabinet doors

thank you!!  I'm really happy with the way it turned out!!

yes, the hardware is screwed into the frames.  There were doors there already I just did not like them (particle board, painted, with 'finger holes' instead of cabinet pulls).  so I was able to reuse the holes that had already been drilled.  It is all fiberglass, yes, but there is a bit of wood reinforcement on the inside it seems.  not sure if it was standard or if a previous owner put it there.  would be easy enough to use some 1/4 x 3/4 inch pieces behind each hinge for strength or if the existing holes had become stripped

backsplash

your great backsplash got me looking at home depo. i found precut clear acrylic sheet  18"x24" .093 thick for $ 10  it slipped right in. it looks wonderful. covers my sink area. but stops at window above stove on my model scamp. (rear bunks).  also would love to find a screen door inside lock. to feel more secure at night with main door open. thanks.

This looks so great! I am

This looks so great! I am going to be doing this mod tomorrow! The cabinet doors look so amazing. What kind of wood is that and could you possibly tell me what company made it? Any information would be really helpful. I am looking to replace my doors and this wood is beautiful.

Thanks!

thanks so much!!  Good luck with you backsplash tomorrow. The cabinets are made out of bamboo flooring. It's tongue & groove glued together with gorilla glue then each door is backed with fiberboard to take the strain off the glued joints. I'm really happy with the way they came out!!  PM me if you like a more descriptive explaination of my made up process. Happy to share!!

Doors

Hi Sam. For some reason I can't get to my messages this morning (I keep getting looped to a message about access to certain pages). But, I remembered last night that I posted a thread on my doors in the Scamp Campers Facebook page. Here is the link to the post. If it does not work for you let me know and I will copy/paste the text here for you

Looks amazingly good. Our 16

Looks amazingly good. Our 16 has a window in front of the cook top and sink, so now way to do such. Still, it looks great. Your 13 is really nice and has come along nicely with your mods.

Thanks Doug

I'm really happy with the way it came out!!

there is someone on the Scamp Camper FB page that installed the same PVC tiles as a backsplash around a kitchen window.  since I don't have the window, I did not follow their process, but I would think it would take a good deal more fitting.
