We want to use Peel n stick vinyl subway tile from Home Depot as our backsplash but the instructions say to not use within 15 inches if a heat source. We do use our cooktop. Has anyone used this product?

Escape owners have been using these quite a bit with very good results.
There are metal varieties of these in Stainless that certainly wouldn’t be a problem. If worried I’d just fashion some type of stove cover that you flip up between the stove n backsplash when cooking.
