If i had my way which i wont get i would still be in the A-Liner but times change things change. Last spring we spent 1 mo and 6k miles driving all over Texas and New Mexico. Wx from 20d to 96d unreal we never camped one night in a campground with the A-Liner stop 1/2 min later we werr set-up and setting either in the camper or outside in chairs.
In Kansas the wind blew so bad we had to find a semi at the Walmart to pull up beside in order to let the roof down on the Scout i was scared to death it was going to blew apart but it didnt happen! We are pure boondockers and i guess you could call us tightwads but we have met some fantastic people out there. We did get ran off a Walmart in Galvaston Tx our own fault it was posted but the security guard directed us to a safe place and we werent bothered the rest of the night.
We have tented for 41 years all 50 states many more than we can count as well as 4 trips to Europe with our Cabellas Alaskan Tent but with my health we had to move on. You have never camped until you camp Europe those people are pros. campgrounds with as many as 4k campers and on the other side of the road another campground with 4k in them. Simple unbelievable! We found the campers in Europe to be ever so friendly and when they find we are Americans they are astounded and happy we chose their area to visit.
we are excited about meeting other scamper campers here and learning the egg style of camping!
