2017 Scamp Camp SouthWest - Christmas in Sedona
Dates: December 8, 2017 to December 10, 2017
Location: Sedona, Arizona @ Rancho Sedona RV Park
Make your plans for this SOI gathering to get in the Christmas spirit. All brands of molded fiberglass trailers are welcome! This will be the 4th Annual Scamp Camp Southwest - Christmas in Sedona.
FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS: In the heart of Sedona, AZ, are shops and galleries at the quaint Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village. Every year they hold an event called the Festival of Lights. This year the festival is scheduled for Saturday, Dec 9, 3-8 p.m. The event has great Christmas shopping, multiple bands and musicians performing, a visit from Santa Claus, free cider, and lots of Christmas lights. At 5 p.m. all in attendance begin to light the over 6,000 luminaries that surround the village.
Red Rock Fantasy: This was an awesome event that had been canceled the last two years but has now returned. Red Rock Fantasy are light shows built by people who apply for space and you walk through the light displays after 9pm and then vote on the best displays.
CAMPGROUND INFORMATION:
The nearest campground is called Rancho Sedona RV Park. For reservations, please call (928) 282-7255 or Toll Free: 1(888) 641-4261.

We do not pack the schedule full of SOI activities beyond Meet and Greet and trailer tours, as the Festival of Lights all day on Saturday is loaded with activities. Talked with the park yesterday and they are filling up. Said the camping industry is changing and they've been full all fall and reservations are coming in fast for this weekend in December. They are holding about 7 more spots for our group for but you need to book soon or they may have to release them.

There are normally about 10-14 trailers, but many don't let us know that they've signed up so we'll see. Might be lighter this year due to the crazy bookings the park is experiencing which is very unusual.
I'll be posting the final schedule sometime this week, of course, the main event is the Tlaquepaque Christmas events on Sat and that schedule is on post #12. It has been very warm here, but you never know what you'll get that week in Sedona. Last year we had 80's/50's and all sunshine, year before snow. :-) Come equipped for anything.
