Jack to Change Tire/Stabalize

I recently atteneded a fiberglass rally and saw a Cassita that had installed scissor like jacks on the rear.  The owner said he could easily raise the trailer enough to change a tire if necessary and they also seemed to work well as rear stabilizers when camping.

Any one have advice on such.  We hace a 16 ft.Deluxe

Jack to Change Tire/Stabilize

When mounted on the bumper they are good for stabilizing the same as the original equipment. Jacking to change a tire from the bumper would put a lot of unnecessary strain on the frame, and remember the frame is supporting the shell. It's best to jack near the axle. However seeing the name of your Scamp you might want to "Take a Chance"

Great point.  I was trying to make two improvements in one modification,  One would clearly want to be closer to the axle when jacking it up to change a tire.
