Your first stop

We have ordered our 13' Scamp and are planing a July/August pickup.
I was wondering what every ones first overnight stop was fresh off the Scamp Lot in Backus.

Thanks

First stop?

How about arriving in the afternoon and camping right in their lot to test out all systems? Do they allow it? On second thought, you do want to drive some distance to test things like brakes, etc.

First night stop

Many people will stop here. It is just a couple of miles away.

I would second Ruttger's.

I would second Ruttger's. That's where I stayed the night before having some work done on my Scamp last fall. Very convenient (once you find it), and friendly.

Wildwedge

We stayed at Wildwedge Golf & RV park maybe 15 miles south of Bakus.   http://www.wildwedge.com/

They had lots of pull thru sites as we had never backed a trailer before.  They also have a nice resort motel adjacent in case you need a place to stay the night before.

Ruttgers Pine is nice

Scott,

Ruttgers Pine Mountain is nice. It wil be fun for your first night in the new camper. We picked ours up Jan 2, 2016 so it was a bit to "chilly" to camp.

Have fun and if you have any questions, just ask. There are a bunch of experienced Scamp-a-holics on this site.
