leaking front window (small w/bathroom)

Has anyone had any trouble with leaking around the front window, the small window that comes with the bathroom option. Only leaks with very heavy rains. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Bath window leak

The bath window mount at an angle and can capture water and debris and the don't always drain properly which is one reason they were done away with.

First open your window and check the rubber seal that the glass frame sets against. The seals can come unglued from the shell frame and no longer seal the glass. It can be glued in place with weather strip glue from an auto parts store. Do not try to use the window to hold the seal while you glue it in place you may glue the window shut.

The other place they leak is the frame to shell joint. If you suspect a leak here you have to remove the window and old seal  then reseal with butyl tape. For Hehr black frame windows they make a wider, thicker black butyl tape which works better than they gray  3/4 tape. Usually you have to ask for it at RV shops because for some reason it is usually not on display.

Also there is a joint in the frame when the window is out you might want to put a little clear sealant on it.
