Awnings v. Tinting

In our first outing in the scamp we noticed that, even in moderate weather, direct sun can really heat the little egg up. Se we immediately started thinking about adding shade to the rear window and the driver's side window at the rear. (We have a factory awning on the curb side.)

But, I was also wondering if we couldn't just add some window tint for simpler solution. It seemed like all the modern RVs had tinted windows.

Any thoughts from the more experienced scampers?

Thanks!

Shade

Keith,I always scout out the afternoon and evening shade camp sites in the summer. I've even looked on Google Earth at camp grounds I've never been to, before booking sites to see which ones are shaded from the south and west. I don't think widow tint or window awnings will help if any.

Tint selection

Do research before you buy tint. Some reflect heat others ADD to the heat gain.
