We just buried my Dad & Mom last June, 2013 at Arlington National Cemetery with a Full Honors service. Something to see if you have never attended one.
Dad was a Retired Lt. Col USMC who served from 1941-1968 and was a veteran of WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star in Vietnam as well as a chest full of medals that would take most of the forum to recount. God bless, Dad (Jack) and Thank You for your service. God bless Mom (Caroline) and Thank You for all you went through supporting Dad as a Marine wife. May you both rest in peace in the arms of the Lord.
Let's keep this thread going for Memorial Day. Please feel free to add your thanks to this thread for the men and women you know who served or are serving in our military. If you are an SOI Member and you served or are serving, add a reply and let us know your branch and dates of service. A big Thank You to all our service men and women past and present.
Sorry for your loss.
This country owes its existence to folks like your folks. You lived thru their trials and tribulations also.
Thank You,

Sorry for your loss Greg, it's bad enough to lose one but both at once or close together, I'm very sorry. I also thank the Lord for people like our service men and women who risk it all for thier country. As they say, ALL GAVE SOME, SOME GAVE ALL. Happy veterans day to all.
