Scamp form 2000

Did Scamp hound you upfront for the form 2000 when you placed your order or did you bring the form with you when you picked up your Scamp?  Its the form asking about insurance, a color picture id with other personal info.

Okay, I will claim ignorance.

Okay, I will claim ignorance.  Why would you need this form.  If you paid for service/produce in full, it's your responsibility to get insurance, as for ID they made a copy of my license when I was there.  No big deal, nothing surprising there.  Perhaps calling your Scamp rep will be helpful.  I established a nice relationship with these folks and they have been most helpful.

I thought I had a good

I thought I had a good relationship as well. I do not know why they need to know all this several months in advanced. I really do not appreciate businesses gathering info and storing it on their computers to be later hacked into. I have insurance & a valid driver's license. I paid the $500 deposit over the phone. The rep even asked me what kind of vehicle I'll be using to tow it. Geesh!  To be fair he sounded like a new kid as he kept messing up the invoice and adding stuff I never wanted and forgetting stuff I told him to put on.  They really want this form 2000 now.

Computers?  LOL thats a good one.. have you been to Eveland's?

My salesman's computer was a stack of papers about two feet high on his desk.

Anyway, this is no big deal.  But it is true that confusion reigns supreme there sometimes.  I sent my form 2000 in months in advance, then was asked for it a month from pickup when they could not find it.  And my order was confused but I caught the error in plenty of time before production started.

Picture ID and insurance

I dont know why they ask about the insurance but I always figured that they wanted to see the pic ID just to prove we were who we said we were.I suppose that they do get taken by people once in a while,I dont know. But when we sold the Scamp to a wonderful lady,we were dealing with on email and over the phone and I asked for a copy of her ID in an email which she provided(I also sent her a pic of mine)just kinda to prove we were who we both said we were. Like Gordon said, dont worry about anything being stored on any computers in that place.....Pen and paper is as close as they come. But always very honest up front people.Personally I cant believe they would have a new salesman, seems every ones been there for years and years ha
