As it stands our battery in the order package is a group 24. Is it worth the $40 upgrade to have them put in the group 27 ? Will there be a much difference? Does it matter our Tacoma truck that will be doing the pulling uses group 27 as well? thanks

The Tacoma battery does not come into play while camping. You should not have the truck connected to the trailer unless towing. You would have to look at the specific batteries but the 27 should have about 20% more capacity than the 24. A better chance of getting through the night running the furnace if boondocking. If you get the 24 and decide to up size later you will have to also buy a larger battery box which comes with the 27. If you camp only in powered campgrounds the 24 may be all you need. If you plan on going solar later I would get a 27. For a $40 upgrade I would say you get what you pay for without the hassle of upgrading later on your own.

Now if Scamp would only offer twin 6v's.

Would love to see twin 6V. Has anyone got pictures of a retrofitted a Scamp 19 with twin 6Vs?
I just put twin 6V batteries on a S-16. Here is a link to the box I used. You would have to go to a single larger tank on a 5er if you used this option, but you have to watch out for the body curveiture with a taller LP tank. Or you could go with the old style 5er outside of the LG battery mounting brackets.

We purchased a group 27 battery spring of 2015 during the fishing sale. Got it for $84.95! We are so glad we did, powers our LED lights and radio for over 5 days! It's definitely worth the money.
