There are a number of solutions coming soon that are going to revolutionize Wifi access for traveling and RV's.
Here is a Wifi solution that is in testing now on a vehicle going across the country and they are making early deals with auto manufacturers to offer it in new cars.
Starry is another one that is now making its test debut in Boston.
the greatest part of using my scamp for me is NOT having access to the net. I turned off my Hot spot device when I quit traveling for work. I can use the phone if I need ot download a book, or better yet go outside and watch the waves.. Other than that I depend on the occasional Carrier pigeon....
My spouse and I just returned from an 18 day study-tour in Israel and Jordan. All of the busses in which we toured had wifi!
I am such an old grump! Wi-FI on public transportation is one of the reasons I only travel in my on vehicle now. I don't want to "share" my space with someone else's Facebook or or whatever. and sadly I see so many folks traveling with their heads buried in a phone or some device. they never even look around. but like I said, I am an old grump. PS, I used to travel for a living, traveling every two weeks to a new location to teach. I don't miss ANY of it. Long live the Scamp!
