Hey .folks...
3 weeks and counting until I head to Backus to pick up my new Scamp. Kohl's is running a closeout sale on mattress toppers and sent me a 30% off coupon... it's like the universe is trying to tell me something! What size, thickness, and material should I get to cover the big bed. Can all materials be trimmed?
Thanks...

Congrats on the new SCAMP. Lots of fun to go get a new one.
I usually get a 2" memory foam topper. Much thicker than that and it gets unmanageable to roll up and move. They trim like butter with an electric knife.
Be safe on your trip.

Do I start with a full or queen?

Not sure what model Scamp ur picking up? If 13 did you get the big bed? A full size topper will normally take care of it as they typically run 74x53 which should cover standard or deluxe bed in a Scamp.

We just got a new-to-us 13' standard layout, and I'm having fun outfitting it. I bought the Kohls topper this weekend--good deal at $29.99. I was going to use a down bed but thought I would try this. One thing to consider tho--they get hard as rocks if they get cold. We have a 4" thick pad in our fifth wheel, and it was like a big board when I went out this winter to check on everything. Have fun!

We have a new 2016 Scamp 13 Std with a big bed.. We were pleased to find that we didn't need a mattress topper. Since we frequently have the dinette set up it is nice not having to store a topper.
