Im doing the click lock vinyl plank flooring, I realize its a floating floor. What did any of you use for base trim particullary in the dinette area. I took out the benches and want to run the floor under them, also I'm gonna hit the floor with some primer and i was considering an underlayment. Any Suggestions?
Thanx
Bobby
I've always used the Allure Vinyl Plank flooring which is a similar concept. I pull the benches and floor to the wall as well. Use Zinser perma white primer on the sub -floor which is a sealing primer. Never needed an underlayment as Allure is built to not need any. Use Quarter round on the benches, closet, etc. and shoot it in with an trim nailer.

There is floating click flooring in my '84 ,with no underlayment ,and it's fine .
No base trim in mine and I can't see where it is really needed .
Hope that helps
