Is Scamp open to negotiating price on the sale of a new trailer?

Price is always a negotiation ...but it's about supply & demand

Chances are they will not move much if any. The trailers have a long lead time making the demand higher.

I have tried negotiating at the Minnesota state fair, been to the factory a couple of times, just bought a 2016 - 13 Deluxe that someone cancelled and they wouldn't budge..

For me...I wasn't going to get my undies in a bundle over 3% or $500... I won't retire early on that lol.....so if it is something I want ...I get it move forward and enjoy it...

But every one is different....

They weren't with us

They didnt negotiate the price any with us when we ordered in 2015 but they did take off some after we got certain packages.I think pretty much what they list is the price they are going to get

Nope.  The sales force has no

Nope.  The sales force has no apparent authority to dicker.  The do take 10% off list of options, which is fine, but everyone gets the same deal.  With a 7 month waiting list, they're hardly motivated.  They likely would say they do all they can to stay in business but sell at a fair price.  That's it. That's all.  Done.

I was wrong

Ed

you may want to call them..the gal got a GREAT deal

"I just called Scamp to see what the cost and turn around time would be to order a new trailer with exactly everything I wanted (13' layout #2) and they told me $14,525 and October 2016. Then he mentioned they had a 2016 on their lot, never used exactly like I wanted but a big bed model reduced to $12,300. I am making a trip to Backus, Minnesota next month to pick it up! After years of older models that I have restored (not that there is a thing wrong with that!!!) I am going to have a bright shiny brand new Scamp with all the bells and whistles! Can't wait!"

Yep...you broke the mold girl

You my friend have shed a new light on the art of a deal on a scamp. As shown in this thread...Scamp rarely ever discounts any of the trailers.

I was just in the right place

I was just in the right place at the right time!  Or at least my phone call was.  I didn't necessarily want the big bed version, but it was too good to pass up and I have a big dog who sleeps with me so it's a win win!
