customer care from Scamp

I just wanted to state how good customer care is at Scamp. After selling our Scamp last week to its new owner,a nice lady from Utah, she went camping for a few days and then headed home, and that door came open 3 times when she was pulling into gas stations, only then, would it do that,we want her to be happy and offered to pay for one more new latch,Scamp has already sent two replacements to us.She called Scamp and told them what was going on,and they told her they would send the parts to fix the problem...at no charge! Even tho they explained to her that the new warrenty did not transfer, they are willing to take care of that problem, which we were willing to do,we had not had a problem in 1000s of miles and many months,I dont know why it chose that time to start doing it. I just think they're customer care went beyond and above what they had to do...now Im hoping that Casitas is as good

abovr and Beyond

Earlene,

Thank you for posting that.  To a future new Scamp owner, that is very encouraging.

We have been in contact with Sales at Scamp and we will be going to Bakkus in a week or so to look a new 13 that is built and awaiting customer pick up.  It has almost all of the options we think we want.  This trailer shopping is turning into work!  Why am I traveling 12 hours just to window shop,???  Maybe I don't want to know.

Worth the trip

Bob,its worth the trip of 12 hours,so just double check and make sure you are getting exactly what you guys want in your new Scamp. They look pretty close to just what the pictures show on their web page, but I know people like to see what they are getting in person.Just know that once you do purchase one, that the customer care will be there for you long after the sale.We ordered our 16ft Casita without ever seeing the inside of one,but with enough people helping by answering tons of questions and sending us pictures,we are sure that we are going to be happy once we pick it up and start our camping season again,no matter what time of year it is:-)

My experience at the Scamp

My experience at the Scamp factory was fantastic. No other trailer company will allow one to take their trailer back to the factory for improvements! They have a very large garage to,do just that! Employees bring parts right from the attached factory to have technicians install them. Derrick and Andy are top notch technicians and did a fantastic job on our Scamp. We had so much installed and it went fast and smoothly. With what we had installed, we now have a Deluxe Scamp, and again, the folks at Scamp were nothing short of wonderful!

Get it like you want it

Thats the best way to do it Doug, get it done and get it done like you want it,with the things that matter to you guys.I think we all like our little traielrs to be like our home away from home, and there are certain things and ways we want it to be. And you had a great little getaway trip by going up to the factory and having them do it.You will enjoy your camper for years to come now

Scamp Factory Visit

Yes, it was a long 12 hour drive but so worth it! I got so much done, the list was long. Posted in previous listings. Folks up there are super nice too. Just to recap, new awning, new under door retractable step, new door seal, new bathroom door handle, 12 volt charge socket, TV antenna, bike receiver hitch welded on, new tire cover ( free). They even put on a grab handle I purchased at the True Value down the street. It now sits at the left of the door, for assisting entrance and exit. My technician installed it free too!

New Power Converter

Our Scamp is now at a local RV Center having the power converter replaced. They have done a nice job, and I am pleased. I also had them top off the LP tanks, and put on a nice white fiber glass cover. The vinyl cover did not last a year!

We haven't even picked up our used scamp that we bought and already they have been helpful in answering some questions we had. Very nice considering we bought a used one.

I just hope

We have never had any issues with getting parts or service for our scamp we just sold, now I am just hoping that Casita does such a good job after the sale on the new Casita we pick up next month. It will be like Christmas unwrapping of the presents since we have never saw one in person and wont till we walk in ours at pickup:-)

How very exciting Launey and Earlene! A new Casita for you ! We have camped next to them and sure liked them! Such nice interiors, much better than Scamps. Made by the brother of the Scamp family too. Send pics of all features, OK?

will sure try

I will sure try to post some pictures Doug but I do have this problem about getting pictures posted ha.Yours come in upside down and mine doesnt even go,I still dont know how I ever got our profile picture posted but like my mother used to say.Dont look a gift horse in the mouth! I will work on it tho after we get the Casista. We have never saw the inside of one in person all we have saw is pictures so we are hoping it is nice enough. We bought it because of that window in the bathroom, which you know,Scamp would not put in the new ones and the fact that the air condioner sits inside and not up on the roof, other then that they do look quite a bit like the Scamps and we always loved that, just was a tad to small for us.And if it hadnt been for Greg A helping put the ad on the two sites he put it on,we wouldnt have gotten it sold in 5 days, for which we really appreciated his help. We have just over another 6 weeks to go before picking the new one up.Weather should be nicer then going to Mn last Nov tho
