Sorry my pics didnt come through. This scamp has moss on the outside and I dont know exactly what to do about it besides cleaning with a regular detergent.

I have used a Clorox and water mixture with great results. I would start with a 25% Clorox - 75% water mixture, and go to a 50% - 50% mixture if the 25 - 75 does'nt work good enough. Some may argue against the Clorox mixture but I have used it for years on wood, concrete, fiberglass, and metals. Rinse well and follow with a normal soapy cleaning. Use with good ventilation.

Where to Start ??
Always a big question when getting a new trailer that needs more than a little bit of TLC.
First, in your case, cleaning the out side is the obvious first step, I would recommend you use a good quality car wash liquid soap and a soft bristled automotive brush ( I like Turtle Wax "Ice" car wash ) BEFORE you try the Clorox method listed above. You can always use the Clorox if the car wash method doesn't work.
Like yourself, my first trip in my new-to-me Trailer was a long trip (FL to TX), first, I made sure the running gear (wheels, brakes, tires and hubs) were all in excellent condition; new tires and aluminum wheels, new NAPA brakes, greased the bearings and installed new seals.
Here is a posting that will give you some guidance in deciding which projects to do next...

Here is a brush similar to the one I use:
Camco 43633 Wash Brush with Adjustable Handle
Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.
By-the-way, if you are going out South West, you might consider attending the Scamp Camp South West in December, Sedona AZ is Wonderful and the Christmas festivities sound absolutely Wonderful !!!
As Always,
Happy Scamping !!!
Thanks for the info.
