Found the pics of a kitchen remodel I did on my former 1981 Scamp 13. Over the first year plus we never turned the inside stove on and always cooked outside, so I decided to remodel the kitchen and remove the stove making a large countertop/workspace.

Putting in the Rosettes for a Modern Chrome Pole to replace the Scamp 70's wrought iron. The wrought iron is a required roof structural support and if removed must be replaced with something similar to the chrome pole below. If you see a trailer with the support at this location completely removed, don't buy it. Roof sags and door will mis-align, very difficult to repair the trailer if that occurs.

I found a rubberized inter-locking floor tile for the countertop surface. New chrome bar faucet, cherry sink cover, and the kids favorite a new chalkboard refrigerator front piece.
We never used that stove at all. It was so nice to gain useable counterspace. And in talking with Scamp owners thru the years, we discovered there are a lot of them that only cook outside. When it came time to sell our first Scamp, it didn't hurt us at all in the resale value!

In our restoration, we retained the old-style wrought iron support, but painted it white (so it "blends in" better, with both the fiberglass cabinets and the interior liner). We did retain the two-burner stovetop, but we have a serving tray that (upside down) fits over it and converts the cooktop to workspace. (We too, when camping, do much of our cooking outdoors.)
I see the a.c. looks permanent in the window. Did that work out OK when driving? This is what the previous owners did with that window and a piece of removable plexiglass. I'm guessing they didn't travel with it in the window.
It was a permanent install and never had any issues with it especially after I redid it and put a new AC in. You could actually grab the ac outside and shake the whole Scamp with it.
