Well, next week I shall have our Scamp on the road to Lake of the Ozarks for a guy's trip. We shall be I-70 westbound Monday, May 11 for our journey.

First Scamp Trip
Have a great first trip out this year..Whats a guys trip? Doesnt the bride get to go this time out?

Nah, no gals, just my buddy and me! Our first long trip is Lanesboro MN, and my bride will be along for that trip, as well as the Smoky Mtns in August!

Weather was terrific, but my buddy got skunked fishing. I am NOT a fisherman. We did lazy very well, but the main purpose was to assure our Scamp systems all worked well. We even made a memory foam cover for the dinette sleeping arrangement. Now all set for Lanesboro MN for a week of Scamping with many others.

We stayed at Riverview Campgrpund, right on the Osage River. Owner just spent $15,000.00 on showers, sinks, bathrooms. Very nice! Lots of shaded spots, rock grounds to keep dirt and leaves out of the trailer. Laundry facilities, cable TV, store with plenty of trailer accessories too. Very nice place and surely a go back location for the Ozarks, very near Bagnell Dam. Sadly I took no pictures, but surely will in Lanesboro next week. Not sure what to expect up,there, but I know we shall be very excited to go on this trip. Lots of Scamps are to be there, lots to share and show off our Scamp!

By the way, we had severe storms here today, and they marched through the Lakeside 370 park grounds in St. Peter's MO. It totally destroyed several 5th wheel trailers and damaged many others.

The campground sure sounds like a nice one.Im going to keep that name so later when we do get back to those parts of the country we might check it out.This year I think we are staying pretty well out west here,theres so much to go see. I hate to hear that storms tore thru a camp and destroyed campers.I know those storms can be terrible,I am watching them today as Ks is on a threat and we have several family members and lots of friends in that area. Glad to see that your Scamp checked out ok and you didn't have storm damage. Had a friend whose popup was undone by a passing tornado (luckily they weren't in it), Looking forward to trip pics.
