Mounting a 19 on my flatbed truck. LOL!

Hi all and Happy New Year:

I'm new here but not to camping trailers.  I've done a wee bit of modding with my 16 foot Chalet XL1930 folder - it's currently mounted on my boat:

I've always wanted to mount a 19 on my Chevy crew cab dually 1 ton - it has a 13' total length bed which includes the Tommy Lift gate in the horizontal position.  I've checked the width of the 19 and it should be ok with a couple of inches to spare between the 82" supports for the lift gate. My plan is to mount the 19 minus the goose neck hitch and axles, suspension, tires etc.  I'm also planning on mounting it on my boat and probably selling the Chalet.

I guess my first question for you seasoned owners is:  Can you think of any reason why this won't work - and look reasonably good too?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Best,

Captain Ron in Tucson

Too Long

Would you still be required to buy a license for the trailer as well as the boat?

I think you've been at sea too long!

Casita on Flatbed

I have seen something similar done with a Casita Trailer.  But the casita is only 16' or 17' in length.

Looks like that picture is from Iraq.

RonK, maybe think about removing the bed from the truck and run the drive shaft and differential to the wheels of the 19' making it a single construction like a moble home. Putting a 19 on a pontoon boat might capsize it in rough seas or strong wind.
