Water penetration by door

Hello Out There,

I have a 2017 13' Deluxe that got water penetration from below or behind the fiberglass jamb piece between the main door and screen door jamb. The damage to the plywood panel is mostly on the outside face with not much damage showing inside the storage space. I noticed inadequate sealing ( a void in the undercoating) underneath at the hinge side of the door and cleaned it up before applying Flex Seal. The base of the jamb is bulging so it appears that I need to remove the screen door & pull the fiberglass panel out a bit to repair behind everything.

   Has anyone else experienced this?

Thank you for your time,

J Paquette

Door Leak

Not an uncommon issue unfortunately. You can see in your pic where the separation is on the right side. You'll just need to clean it up and totally reseal everything very thoroughly. Please do not use Silicone Caulk... Does not work on FGlass trailers. Use an rv sealant like Proflex or a Marine sealant like 3M 5200.
