Resource for Scamp parts?

Hello Scampers,

I'm in need of several miscellaneous replacement parts for my 2014 13' Scamp and Scamp informs me they don't have those parts--which I find a little unsettling. Does anyone have a good resource?  In particular I need:

  • replacement crank knob for bathroom window
  • replacement knob for the A/C unit
  • replacement knob for stove burner

There must be a similar question on this forum somewhere, but danged if I can find it....

Many, many thanks!

Kim

Manufacturers are best...

Call the stove manufacturer. Suburban for instance for the stove. If you can't get a matching one, they could provide a set that'd fit that would match to replace them all... Air conditioner? Dometic? Same, call whomever it is...

The window, an outside one? Lippert just bought the company that'd been doing Scamps windows for years, start there... depends on how unique or universal yours was...

Thank you, Carl

I'm so used to using the google I guess I've gotten out of the habit of just going the direct route. Thank you for advising me about Lippert.

Best,

Kim

parts for Scamps

Very few parts are unique to Scamps.  You can find parts online at RV places like Camping World.  I find a lot of things on Amazon.  I have purchased the crank knobs on Amazon.  They come in long stem and short stem.  Both work but the long stem might be better.  You might have to buy the replacement knob for the stove in pairs so they match.  You can find a lot of things at Home Depot, Lowes, or Ace Hardware, etc.  It is cheaper to purchase parts elsewhere because Scamp charges a lot for shipping:  Pony Express to St. Cloud, river boat to the Twin Cities, and UPS to your home.

Thanks

Thanks, Sunfish. Good to know parts aren't Scamp-specific. I also didn't know hardware/big box stores might carry parts! I appreciate it.
