I have hit the remember password for the website on my browser (I use Chrome) and I never have to login when I come to the site unless I've cleared my browser cache. Works the same on all the phone, tablet browsers I use as well.
Sounds like you have some setting on your browser that is clearing your logins.
After researching this, the default remember period in the web software is actually 3 weeks to retain the logon cookie information. There are security concerns if a website is retaining the user login information for too long a period and can compromise a users login to a 3rd party which is why that occurs in the first place.
They did have a "remember me" checkbox feature which helps to extend this period for users and I have enabled that feature. On the logon form for SOI members there is now a "remember me" checkbox for you to check on or off which should help to resolve your issue Carl.

I agree with Carl. This website requires me to log in more often than any other website I use. I think it forgets you in less than one week.

Not able to recreate it personally but I'm in and out all day every day.
I'll look into it as there is a "remember me" option that I can configure that might help out with this.
