Dave & Paula Brown are booked in site 99 with their Lil Snoozy from Apache Junction AZ. Thursday through Sunday. We would like to join in on the dinner out and wine and Tuzi tours.
Here are the formal/informal activities for Scamp Camp SW:
Scheduled:
Thurs nite - Early Bird Dutch Dinner Out. Restaurant TBD by attendees
Nightly Fire Pit at the Host Trailer or location TBD - BYOB drinks and chairs
Saturday approx 10am Trailer Tours
Freelance activities:
There is so much to go and do in this location that we're going to list activities and folks can group up for which ones they'd like to do and off you go!
Winery Tour - http://pagespringscellars.com/ I have all the information for this that we can discuss and then call for availability. This will most likely have to go on Friday as they are booked with a big activity on Sat. $34 per person, but includes good bit.
If you have your Senior Pass it's free admission! We look at these ruins from the top of the campground and a short drive to get there.
Verde Canyon Railroad - https://verdecanyonrr.com/ How about a train ride through gorgeous mountain scenery. Quite a few packages to book and the station is in Clarkedale, just a short drive away.
Jerome - http://azjerome.com/jerome/ Tour, shop and have lunch at the Haunted Hamburger in the old mining town of Jerome, AZ. Must be able to walk hills.
Sedona - Hobnob with the stars, tour, shop, eat. Sedona is an awesome place to spend the day with incredible Red Rock Scenery. Bring your wallet or purse and your American Express.
Montezuma's Castle - https://www.nps.gov/moca/index.htm We really like spending a few hours in the peaceful ruin. It is a bit of a drive but not bad. About 25-30minutes. Free with your Senior Pass!
Marty and Lisa will be joining you from Northern Minnesota in site #90. We will be arriving Wednesday the 4th and departing Tuesday the 10th. We have a 2017 16' Scamp Deluxe towed by a 2019 Ford F-150 Crew Cab Pickup.
Welcome, to our latest attendees. Jon is on his way to his Winter hideout, coming from upstate NY and I can’t wait to catch up with him at the gathering.
Marty n Lisa coming from upstate MN should have some great winter travel stories.
Looking forward to the evening camp fire with everyone.
