Hello all,
I need to attach a new cabinet through wall and would like to use a similar fastener system (white cap on outside). Scamp factory uses the pop rivets, holding an acorn nut on the inside (a helper is needed).
Has anyone come up with a better/cleaner way?

You can use pan head #10 10-24 screws. They can be used with the large plastic bases and caps. On the inside I use nylock nuts with flat washers. With nylocks you can adjust the tension on the fiberglass. I always use stainless hardware. Unless the windows are removed and you can reach the inside you will need a helper.

I second Eddie's reply on the SS Hardware, this still does require the use of snap caps on the exterior. Our 1981 13 Scamp I drilled out all the rivets and replaced with SS Bolts and Nuts. You can top with SS Acorn nuts inside if you want to emulate the same look Scamp originally put there.
Some Molded Fiberglass Trailer companies like Escape Trailers use an advanced technique in their construction where they glass the wood mounts on the inside of the shell for all the interior cabinetry. In an Escape Trailer there are no shell penetrations for any of the interior cabinetry which is attached to the interior glassed mounts. Every time a shell penetration is made it is a potential leak point for the trailer which is why some manufacturers glass the mounts to the shell.
I have seen some folks that have fiberglass experience do the interior glassed in mounts with their other brands when they go to add something like an upper cabinet. Outside of Rivets, SS Hardware, or glassing in internal mounts I'm unaware of any other techniques for mounting cabinetry although someone here may have something additional and unusual we've never seen before.
