Mounting a Rhino-Rack

On the back of the Rhino- Rack is a T slot that runs the full length of the awning.  The awning kits comes with the bolts fit the T slot.  I simply made two brackets out of 1/8 X 3 aluminum to fit the radius of my Scamp and mounted the brackets to my 13 footer, then mount the awning to the brackets to the camper.. I used butyl tape to seal the brackets.  I used aluminum so I wouldn't have to deal with rust.  This will be my 3rd year using the Rhino-Rack.

So far, I'm pleased with it.

Thanks!

Thanks, Bob. Good information! You "simply made" brackets - I suppose one could get this done at the local machine/metal shop. I wonder if you could post a photo of that mount?

My Scamp's on order!

October delivery, perfect for a wannabe snowbird.

The lack of used Scamps is a big plus...it means that people hold onto them, and if I ever need to sell mine, there will be eager buyers. The warnings about new rv depreciation are minimized for Scamps.

If not now, when?
