We picked our Scamp up last June and stayed at Ruttger's Pine Mountain Camping Resort for a few days to shake down the camper. Ruttgers is the closest campground to the factory in Backus. The people were very friendly and helpful with places to go and things to do. Bathrooms were clean. My only gripe was that the water and electric hookups were on the front side of our trailer instead of at the back at the site we rented, but not all sites were laid out that way. If you decide to stay at Ruttgers, insist on a site where the hook ups are on the back side of the trailer or have heavy duty extension cord and water hose to reach your hookups...You're going to have a ball driving from Jacksonville...
