85 Scamp window replacement/ renovation Pics

Hello Everyone!

I am new to SOI and was hoping to find some assistance in regards to replacement windows for a 1985 Scamp 13'. This is the first camper I have owned and am learning as I go. I am in the process of renovations and am having a hard time finding replacement windows. The scamp came with Hehr sliding windows and now are very worn out. (bad rubber, cracked glass, etc.) Scamp changed the size to a smaller window so they will no longer fit and was hoping to avoid having to fiberglass the hole smaller. Any ideas are much appreciated. Thanks! Also, I apologize if this was posted in the incorrect location.

Window repair

Any good local glass shop should be able to replace the cracked glass. There are several large campgrounds near my glass shop so he repairs quite a few Hehr windows. He charges $25-$35 to replace glass panels if I take the window or trailer to him. Pellandent sells replacement seals and parts for your windows. If you pull your windows use butyl tape to reseat them. Usually a behind the counter part at RV shops they sell wide black butyl tape for window installs. It's a lot easier to work with what you have than modify the shell for different windows.

Windows for 85 Scamp

Hello Eddie!

Thank you for the advice. I am trying to source a local glass company to hopefully assist me. I will look into seeing if i can rebuild these. Thanks again!

We have an older '74 with rear jalousie windows.  In rebuilding it, I could not find replacement windows to size.  I repainted the frames and had a local glass shop put in new glass, and a local ACE hardware put new screen into the screen frames.  Voila: like new!
