We just got back to St. Paul from Backus with our new 16 footer. It looks like they have upgraded the door locks. There is a deadbolt lock and another lock. However, when we got home we could not unlock the door. The person who gave us the orientation went through it really fast and unfortunately I didn't videotape that part. Any help would be appreciated!

can't unlock new scamp - help!
Push really hard in the space between the lock and edge to take pressure off the latch as you try to open it, the seal is really tight when new.

Same happened to me on my Casita. My advice, climb in the egress window. Stop using dead bolt. Worked for me but then mine ain't a Scamp?

My husband replaced the door lock set on our Hi-Lo with a new one. He didn't test it before installing! So, it had been working until I attempted using the deadbolt, I didn't realize I was the first one to try to use it. Anyway, we ended up prying one of the windows open, crawling inside, removing the thing as it was hopelessly stuck, and returning it to Amazon after replacing it with the old one with a broken deadbolt. (guessing someone took a hammer or something to it). If one actually reads through the reviews on door sets at Amazon, one will see it is hit and miss when it comes to the sets they are selling. Luckily, this happened on a warmer and sunny day, otherwise............ Scamp needs to be testing these before installing!

Thanks, we did get it open! It was just tight and I did not want to force. Now it works beautifully and feels pretty secure.
