Just figured out the black tank is under the toilet - how much does it hold? How many days use do you get before you have to go dump.
This goes into the gray tank (right) and you flush it all out together?? The extra water tank option, would that help in flushing the tank out?

The black water tank is about 9 gal. The grey and back water tanks and systems are separate systems. Depends on how many people use it and and how much you eat and drink. A couple can usually go about 4-5 days.

Thank you Eddie. The picture in the brochure of the toilet is all I had to go by. 9 gallons seems like enough , it did not look that big, thank you for replying.

We all have to do what we have to when camping i use a jug for #1 and just dump it out be hind a tree or shrub.

When we were young we tent camped, so have tried lots of things to not have to walk out in the dark of night. Do you have #1 or #2 layout? Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Its all good in a 13' we like the room. Camp grounds have pit toilets and if you get a small pop up tent for the porta potty tell him its realy less work for dumping it out over a black water tank.

The 9 gallon black water tank provides about 3 days for the wife and I. It is easy to check the waste water level using a flashlight as the tank in ours is opaque. The gray water (shower or sink waste water) is much larger but all depends on your usage as others have said. There seems to be a real science to using chemicals (for the black tank), types of toilet paper and cleaning procedures. The forum is full of threads that go over the various scenarios. I think the important take away is hand sanitizer, rubber gloves and spend some money on a good discharge sewer hose. The scamp doesn't combine the black and gray water discharge side but a rule of thumb is dump the black water first, then the gray water to clean out the hose. (All this being done at the dump station or full hookup RV site.)
Are you still looking or do you have a Scamp ? 13' are great for small spaces at camp sites or we even still use drive throughs 16' are also good more space for a bathroom.

Have been looking, will probably buy new since Az. does not seem to have Scamps for sale very often.
