Hey everyone. My wife and I are seriously considering a new 13' SCAMP. We have the pricing and have chosen the options we think we would need. The problem is, we love the outdoors and are fine with tight places, but we aren't campers and have never seen a SCAMP. We like the SCAMP because of the weight and towing compatability with our 2012 Outback.
Since we don't rush into a $15,000+ expenditure without a litte more research, we would really appreciate if it there are any SCAMP 13' owners within 100 miles of Mooresville, NC that would be willing to show us your SCAMP and talk to us about the camping experience in the small SCAMP (and maybe even offer some advice to novices like us)?
If so, lease call me at 704-929-6270 or email me at grease@roadrunner.com
Thanks,
Dennis
Hi Dennis,
I've checked the member directory and emailed some owners near you. Let us know if someone gets ahold of you and you get to see one.

Thanks, Greg. We sure will. I'm in the process of gathering all the information about camping but I think the best thing to do is pack up the tent and go to a camp ground. It's hard to even rent a small pull behind around here.

Thanks Greg. We just spent most of the day with Gary and Linda LaBombard in Greenville, SC, looking over their 2014 13' Scamp and learning a ton of information about the camper and about camping. Gary had it all set up and even made us a notebook with critical information. If campers are half as nice and helpful as Gary and Linda, we have really been missing out. Made new friends and learned a ton.
So hope you get your Scamp very soon!

Are you still shopping and looking at Scamps? Just today I got contact info from the manufacturer for one owner in Charlotte and one in Shelby with 13 footers. I am looking to see them in person also in the Charlotte area but I have not called these owners yet. You can PM me for the names or call Scamp and ask for the updated local referrals.
By the way, if you get your Scamp before I order one, then I want to come see it!
