One of my passions in life is Ham Radio. I take a portable station with me in the Scamp, and was wondering if any Scamp owners out there are Hams. If so, my call is K0DRA. Hope to hear from any that are Ham Radio operators.

Any Ham Radio Operators out there?
I am a ham operator of sorts. I got my license about a year ago but haven't really used it for anything yet. Our church wanted to set up a notification network in case of disasters, etc. but nothing has come of it yet. There are four members with ham radios and other than checking in with each other on rare ocassions I have not used it. I have two handhelds, one that receives and transmits on aviation frequencies that I bought to take to Oshkosh last summer. KD8YOK

K0DRA here, long time Ham, Extra Class. Big station, nice antennas and 2 HF rigs. 5 HT's. I operate daily as now being a retired pilot. Loved to work air mobile! Will be taking a portable station to our break out trip to Lonesboro MN.

I live in SW OH just 15 miles north of Cinnati. I don't know anything about Lonesboro, MN but we might put it on our list of things to do. May I bring my Coleman if I don't have a Scamp by then?

Sure you can bring the Coleman! Many Scamps will be there as it is a Egg Fest and a great opportunity to view many Scamp layouts. We have a lovely 16 with a new interior so we hope you can make it to Lonesboro MN May 27. Looks to be a great fun time!

The Lanesboro Event is not an official Scamp Camp. Although we know a good number of the folks that put it on and they are great people, we don't know the availability and current details. I'd advise you to contact the organizers/park information on the event http://www.scampcamper.com/forums/lanesboro-mn-meet to make sure they still have space available, etc.
I.E. Scamp Camp Far West in May is Full with a waiting list.
