Plumbing question

Hello,

As I read, the city water connection cannot fill the fresh water tank due to a one-way valve in our 2022 Scamp 13'.  Would that valve happen to be the fresh water pump itself?  We have a slow leak in that compartment, which drips outside and down the rear stabilizer behind the fresh water tank.  I drained that tank but the leak persists when city water is connected and appears to be coming from the pump itself...  Is there a shutoff valve that would keep the city water from reaching the outport of the fresh water pump?  We are on the road and would prefer to address the leak when we return.

Any advice is appreciated.

Ed

Freshwater Tank Leak

Hey Ed,

City water doesn't involve the Fresh Tank as you've found out, but it will pressurize the plumbing lines back to the pump. So I'd say ur leak has to do with the outbound line of the pump or the pumphead (which is common). I never have known of any shutoff switch for the pump but you certainly put one in when you change the pump out if that's the issue.

Thanks, Greg.  I think I'm

Thanks, Greg.  I think I'm going to add that valve once I address the leak at the pump.  Appreciate the link!
