Mobile Design Tested

We have completed the mobile device optimization and it is passing the tests so far.

The SOI website should structure itself now to whatever device you are using to view it, from a desktop computer, to an ipad or tablet, to a smartphone.

Please let us know in this help section if you encounter any issues viewing and using the website on a particular device.

Enjoy...

We will try Verizon mobile Hot Spot

We will need Internet connection for travel for work related communications and routine email.

After looking at all options for linking laptops and a tablet the Verizon hot spot seems the best option on the market with full coverage for the U.S. and Canada.  Most G4 but may drop to G3 in some area but still good coverage.

The key issue is the bandwidth.

It is not good for streaming entertainment like Netflix, Hulu etc.

With luck at campgrounds there will be wireless connection to do that.

I have seen sat dishes on some full sized campers (likely only for TV?) and for the U.S. that may be on option?

When we lived and worked in Central America a very large sat dish for Internet was all we had in the jungle for > 15 years.

The mobile set up and aiming a dish can be a pain apparently.

What are other folks doing?

Here to learn from others, what works and what doesn't
