16 foot scamp height

I have a 13 foot scamp (no A/C)  stored in the garage with an 84 inch high door.  This is no problem if small golf cart wheels are used in place of the road wheels. It has about an inch or more of clearance now if the tongue is raised to depress the fantastic fan over the bed.  I think I could lower it about 3-4 more inches if the wheels were off and smaller wheels fabricated.  The question is.... will a 16 foot with no A/C and wheels off slip under an 84 inch opening???    Note: The driveway has a very very slight incline.

Scamp Heights

If you look at the specs in our resources section under buy new Scamp

13 Scamp

16 Scamp

It appears the overall height is listed at 7' 6" on the 13 and 7' 10" on the 16 which would be without AC I would think.

So the 4 " difference in overall height may cause a problem for you doing the same storage with a 16.

16' scamp height

We garage our 16 but it does not have AC. We have an inch or so clearance getting through the garage door (7'11") but then there is plenty of room. It seems that standard garage doors are the sticking point. We have not needed to lower tire pressure. We have an incline as well. Your garage door at 84" would be quite a bit short, which is too bad. It has been really nice to be able to garage the trailer at home.

I just took the scamp 13 our

I just took the scamp 13 our of the garage and I do have 4+ inches to spare if the golf cart wheels were almost flat and the tongue raised to lower the fantastic fan,  so..... a 16 would be so so tight ....perhaps a 50/50 chance?? Has anyone tried it??
