escape hatch coming open in route

last 2 outings my hatch came open and was flapping in the wind tightened up the loose screw that holds the crank handle in place and problem solved check your crank screw anyone know if that hatch lid can be replaced by just sliding the hatch off the hinge and sliding on a new one or is there more to it than that thanks

Escape hatch removal

You have to remove the regulator (two screws) and slide the arm/wheel out the slot on the hatch. There is usually a screw in the end of the hinge, remove that and the hatch slides out for removal.
