Changing rear window from standard plex to a sliding rear window

Hello,

I Just joined and I have a question that one or more SOI members can probably answer  Can you change a rear window from the standard closed Plexiglass to a sliding rear window easily? I see that you can order the slider from the Scamp parts store but I would like to have someone who has made this change give me a little information on what is involve and what to expect. I have a very basic 1995 13'.

Thanks,

Jere

Back window

On the earlier Scamps from the rear belly band  to the roof around the rear window was smooth and rounded. I should know when but don't, Scamp flatten the rear window mounting area. These trailers have a little shelf between the the window bottom and the belly band. I think if you have the little shelf you can install a sliding window but don't take my word for it. Check with Scamp. The 16's &19's had the flat window mounting area before the S-13 I think.

Rear Window in 16

I have a photo of our 16 Deluxe that we picked up this past spring. I offer this to show the rear window mounting area and what I believe shows the shelf described by ELongest.

Hope this helps!

Plex to sliding back window

Thanks for the info ELongest. Yeah, I definitely have the shelf style...thanks for the pic JTST_Scamper. I'm going to order it and give it a shot! I will no doubt be talking to someone at scamp since I have to call to order the window.
