We are upgrading our 2012 Outback V6 to a larger TV b/c the Outback is just not giving us the confidence we need for towing. We test drove the Highlander and the Santa Fe and did not like them at all. So it's the Kia Sorento and the Pilot are our top choices. We would appreciate any feedback on your experience with towing a 13' or 16' with the Sorento V6. (There is a new post asking the same question for the Pilot.)

If you like Subarus they are coming out with the Subaru Ascent next year. It will be bigger than the Outback and hopefully have a greater tow capacity. We ended up buying a Dodge Durango with a V-6 and 8 spd transmission and it pulls our 16' Scamp more efficiently than our V-8 Dodge Dakota and pulls it easier than the Subaru Outback we traded in (although we loved our Outback, but just not for pulling our Scamp that weighs up to 2900 lbs when loaded for longer trips)
The Sorento seems to be a well built vehicle also and has a great warranty.
