Fiberglass discoloration

Hey y'all! Recently purchased a 1994 Scamp 16 and the previous owner had stickers placed on the outer shell. I removed them and their sticky residue, but there is a slight discoloration to the fiberglass where they were. I began refinishing the shell with a power polished and cutting compound, thinking that would get rid of the discoloration, but it did not. Any advice on how to remove the discoloration? Thank you all in advance!

Stain

Sadly if the adhesive stained the Gel coat it could be deeper than surface and not removable but exposure to the sun might fade it to match over time.

Thank you and one gel coat question.

Thank you! Kind of a bummer, but there are worse problems to have. You don't happen to have any experience with stress cracks in the gel coat do you? I have two of those by the door and don't know how worried to be about them.

Do not

Sorry I do not. If you have a marine /boat repair place near you could be a good place to start The gel coat is more brittle than the fiber glass under it so maybe not a big deal. and if structurally sound is mainly cosmetic.  It seems good to cover your scamp come winter if freezing and thawing temps are an issue as moisture in the cracks is not your friend over time.
